The University of Miami is founded on private research and is located in Coral Gables, Florida. It is a multidisciplinary academic institution with a main emphasis on teaching, learning, and research founded in 1925. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools’ Commission on Colleges has accredited it to grant bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees. It was ranked 57th among all national universities in the 2019 edition of “America’s Best Colleges” by U.S. News & World Report.

For the Fiscal Year 2020, the research-based university spent USD 383 million on research. Since 2016, more money has been given out, up by 30%. UM’s overall budget for the 2020–2021 academic year was USD 3.9 billion, of which USD 3.1 billion was allocated for the Medical campus. The University of Michigan’s endowment stood at USD 1.05 billion at the close of the fiscal year 2020.

At the undergraduate, graduate, and special programme levels, the University of Miami offers more than 180 programmes. There are over a hundred graduate courses among them, as well as over fifty graduate programmes, 18 undergraduate certificate programmes, over twenty graduate certificate programmes, and roughly ten associate degree programmes.

Students must submit their GRE, GMAT, and English proficiency exam results in order to be considered for admission to graduate programmes. Additionally, there can be requirements for a particular degree, including a research portfolio or employment experience.

Students must pay a non-refundable application fee of USD 70. No student may submit an application for admission to the institution for any programme without paying the required fee. But the university does grant eligible students fee waivers.

Credit hours are the basis for the university’s tuition charges. In addition, fees differ depending on whether a student is enrolled full- or part-time. If an undergraduate student takes 12 or more credits, they are considered full-time. Graduate students who enrol in nine or more credits during a regular semester or six or more credits during a summer session are considered full-time students.

Additional expenses including books, materials, health insurance, tuition, housing expenses, and other costs are probably included in the study’s overall price.

When calculating the budget for overseas students, an additional cost must be considered. i.e., the legally required health insurance. For the school year 2021–2022, the health insurance rate is USD 3,930 for all international graduates and undergraduates.

Please be aware that the university maintains the right to change the tuition rate before a new academic session. Moreover, consider that living expenses vary based on students’ lifestyle preferences. Additionally, as the years pass, the cost of accommodation and meals may alter.
